ROB CORNILLES RAISES OVER $230,000 IN LAST SIX MONTHS
PORTLAND, Ore. – Rob Cornilles, Republican candidate for Oregon's
First Congressional District, announced today his final
fundraising totals for 2009. This is the second quarter of
fundraising for the campaign against Representative David Wu.
Total Raised Q4: $105,679
Total Raised 2009: $230,949
Cash-on-hand: $186,656
Contributions from individuals Q4: $105,179 (99.5% of total)
Contributions from Oregon Q4: $97,740 (92.5% of total)
Contributions from individuals in 2009: $230,249 (99.6% of total)
Contributions from Oregon in 2009: $220,670 (95.5% of total)
“As the campaign moves forward I am grateful and thrilled by the
continued support we're receiving,” said Cornilles. “Just like
last quarter, contributions are coming primarily from individuals
and mostly from Oregonians. Our financial success is predicated on
the concern that Oregonians have for our current representation in
the first congressional district and their excitement in sending a
fresh face to Washington.”
By comparison, Wu raised only $83,128 from individuals during the
fourth quarter of 2009. Overall, Wu raised just $206,391 from
individuals in 2009.
“Two quarters in a row I have out raised the incumbent when it
comes to the individual contributor. As a matter of fact, my
campaign raised more from individuals in two quarters than Mr. Wu
did in all of 2009.”
Oregon’s first Congressional district stretches from Portland to
the Oregon Coast and encompasses all of Washington, Yamhill,
Columbia and Clatsop counties, and part of Multnomah County.
Cornilles is a prominent advisor and trainer in the business
industry, having founded Game Face, Inc in 1995. He and Allison,
his wife of 23 years, volunteer in various community causes,
including local schools, Boy Scouts of America, the Good Neighbor
Center, and other organizations centered on developing stronger
youth citizens and leaders. They are also active in the lives of
their three sons.
